A Visionary Blueprint for Sustainable Success
Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR)
We remain committed to prioritizing our TNR initiative, continually seeking the most efficient methods to increase the number of TNRs performed. We will also focus on building stronger connections with other local organizations to enhance our impact
Low-Cost Clinics
We will continue our partnership with Blue Collar Mutts to host monthly low-cost pet service clinics in Nacogdoches. These clinics provide crucial support for those who encounter dumped animals or face unplanned litters from feral cats on their property. Adopting animals that are already vaccinated and dewormed is immensely beneficial for both the pets and their new owners.
Student Skill Workshops
We will continue to host student workshops designed to equip pre-veterinary students with practical skills and knowledge that will benefit them in veterinary clinics. Paired with hands-on experience at our low-cost clinics, these workshops will provide students with valuable skills and real-world exposure to veterinary care.
Our Newest Initiative, Community Spay / Neuter Day
Our latest initiative is to host a Community Spay/Neuter Day, where we aim to spay and neuter a targeted number of dogs and cats in the community at no cost to their owners. We are currently applying for grants and planning fundraisers to support this event. By providing this service, we hope to promote better health and well-being for pets, especially among pet owners who might not otherwise have access to affordable sterilization options. Our target date for the event is mid to late Q1 2025.
